Cape Town Naturally would love you to embrace and take care of your natural hair through self-love, self-acceptance and self-empowerment.
In 2014 a blogger and an entrepreneur met for coffee to discuss their favourite topic: natural hair. They imagined a day all the Mother City’s like-minded curly girls could meet and chat about natural hair. Three more naturalistas – another blogger, a business powerhouse and a marketing fairy joined them to complete the team. The five ladies became leaders within Cape Town’s natural hair community.
In December 2016, they held the first highly successful Cape Town Natural Hair Fest. With more than 800 guests in attendance, it was clear that more events like this were needed. Cape Town Naturally has subsequently hosted small events around Cape Town leading up to what is now The Annual Cape Town Natural Hair Fest - the biggest independent natural hair event in South Africa to date.

Affectionately known as Mandy, this lady has the gift of the gab and she's not afraid to use it! She is an ardent networker and connector who ensures our supporters and clients are happy! With a background in research, marketing and public relations, Amanda took a step out of the proverbial box, when she entered into the world of digital content creation under her brand Cape Town Curly. She is the neighbourhood hype queen, a mother of a teen (your prayers are welcome), and a lover of anything with ginger in it.
Our very own voice of reason! Passionate about entrepreneurship and enterprise development Chantal brings her experience in business strategy and project management to the CTN team. This “behind the scenes” lady has extensive experience in both retail and human resource management. Her experience in managing large teams and multiple projects has led to her being dubbed “The Glue.” When she's not being an Enterprise Development Project Manager, she's the mother of dragons--AKA two boys under the age of 10--and wife to a gentle giant.
Our go-to girl for any technical, development, and design work, she's also a self proclaimed pedant grammarian. Kasuba brings with her a background in media and journalism and is an advocate for inclusion in the natural hair community. Kasuba is the brainchild behind Buuya, a natural hair care brand that pays tribute to Southern Africa. Kasuba spends her spare time doing research, reading, consuming the arts, and being a local tourist. She is married to the love of her life and shares him with their awesome cat!
